Those who accepted His message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to

their number that day. Acts 2:41

When Jesus called people to join Him, there was no mistaking what He meant by “Follow me.” Drop everything. Turn away from what destroys life. Leave behind what doesn’t last. Step into the only life that will last forever. Many people started out following Jesus while He was alive on earth, but only a relative few stuck it out. After Christ’s resurrection from the dead, many more gave their lives to Him and for Him. Individuals who are FULLY DEVOTED to follow Christ have received God’s free gift of grace and can’t help but extend it to others on their own and as part of the church.
