The Leadership Council is amenable to and functions as the administrative agency of the charge conference. In order to provide oversight and leadership throughout the year, the Leadership Council serves as our Church Conference’s executive agency, monitoring ministry progress and voting on important matters. Within the context of the church's mission, the church council has primary responsibility for creating and sustaining the congregation's plan for discipleship. The Council’s duties also include setting strategic direction for the church, overseeing the church’s governance and administration, and ensuring that First United Methodist Church of Clermont’s ministries are fulfilling the church’s mission statement to Make Disciples of Jesus Christ for the Transformation of the World. The vision statement of FUMC Clermont is Encountering Christ, Growing in Christ, and Sharing Christ Wherever We Go.
The Council meets the 3rd Sunday of Jan., Mar., May, July, Sept., and Nov. in the Wesley Center at 12:30pm.

Nominations Team oversees the identification and development of volunteer leadership at First United Methodist Church of Clermont. The Team is led by the Senior Pastor and supports the care for the volunteers at First United Methodist Church of Clermont by inviting, connecting, equipping, and sustaining volunteers for Christian service. Initiatives include the nominations process, the Volunteer Management Practices, and developing tools for church leaders.

The Finance Team develops and administers a coordinated plan of fiscal and administrative policies and procedures for the church. It oversees the financial health, the annual audit, provides financial direction, and communicates the church’s financial condition to the Church Council. Meetings are generally held the 2nd Wed. of each month at 6:30pm.

Staff Parish Relations
The Staff Parish Relations Team acts as a liaison between staff, clergy, and the congregation. The team reflects biblically on the role and work of our pastors and staff as they carry out their responsibilities. This team also works to ensure that First United Methodist Church of Clermont is a fulfilling place to work. Meetings are usually held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm. Members cannot be related to a staff member.

Board of Trustees
This Board is charged with the care and maintenance of church property- real, personal, and intellectual. It holds title to property, buildings, and equipment. It is also responsible for managing and receiving property for the church. Meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of each month at 6:00pm in the Admin. Bldg. Major items include building repair/renovation, space planning, disaster planning, traffic management, and security.

FUMC – Endowment Team
The Endowment Team generates awareness of gift planning, promotes planned gifts, receives, invests, and administers in trust for Foundation bequests, trusts, and trust funds. Members should possess financial or fundraising expertise, e.g., financial officer, management, sales, marketing, or fundraising background.
