Are you Struggling? We are still Here.

Celebrate Recovery is for any kind of struggle in our lives.  Less than 1/3 of the people who attend Celebrate Recovery struggle with substance abuse; the rest come for anger, marriage struggles, adult children on drugs, overeating, grief/divorce, depression/stress, you name it!  We even have a group for war veterans.  Many come because someone in the family is struggling.  If a family member is struggling, it is most likely affecting others in the family.

Our Purpose

The purpose of Celebrate Recovery is to fellowship and celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through the “8 Recovery Principles” and the 12-Steps. This experience allows us to “be changed” and to actually live this new life that all too often is spoken of, but not realized. We open the door by sharing our hopes, dreams and struggles with each other and we begin to accept God’s abundant grace and provision. By working and applying these biblical principles, we grow spiritually. We gain a powerful new peace that frees us from emotional agony, isolation and self-destructive behavior so we can pursue a deeper relationship with Jesus and with each other than we ever thought possible. Many have experienced a miraculous healing from God while being involved in this group. Come, make real friends and spend time with the only true higher power, the only one who can truly help…Jesus Christ.

Celebrate Recovery Small Groups Can:

  • Provide a safe place to share your experiences, strengths and hopes with others who are going through the “Principles” in a Christ-centered setting.
  • Provide a leader who has gone through a similar hurt, hang-up or habit that will facilitate the group as it focuses on a particular recovery topic each week.
  • Provide you with the opportunity to find an accountability partner and a sponsor.

Celebrate Recovery Small Groups will not attempt to offer any professional clinical advice. Our leaders are not counselors. If needed, a list of approved counseling referrals is available.

The landing

The Landing, for students is an ongoing 52-week program – based on the beatitudes where Jesus laid out principles for happiness in the Sermon on the Mount – The Landing is for teenagers who are struggling to live their lives in a healthy, God-honoring way. The Landing is a safe, healing place where teenagers can live a freer, healthier, and more God-centered life.

The Landing can help foster hope, truth and joy as teenagers embark on an exciting year-long journey of engaging videos, meaningful experiences, vibrant worship, and great conversation as they develop true friendships with other teens. The Landing breaks the cycles of dysfunction, giving our students the tools to face life’s hurts, hang-ups and habits in an new and healthy effective way.

We meet on Thursday nights during our regular Celebrate Recovery meeting time from 7pm-9pm. Check in is in the Education Building (across from the sanctuary)

What Is A Hurt, Habit, Or Hang-Up?

A hurt, habit, or hang-up is something that hinders our walk with God.

The feeling of being hurt is an emotional reaction to another person’s behavior or to a disturbing situation. (abuse, abandonment, codependency, divorce, relationship issues, etc.)

A habit is an addiction to someone or something. (alcoholism, drugs, food, cutting, workaholic, gambling, sex, shopping, smoking, etc.)

Hang-ups are negative mental attitudes that are used to cope with people or adversity. (anger, depression, fear, control, unforgiveness, pride, legalism, loneliness, etc.)
