Our Gatherings:

Teaching, Worship and Community

We are a family who gathers to welcome the presence of God and to live out the calling He has placed on our lives. There is something happening everyday at our church, but when you join us for a Sunday morning gathering, you can expect a strong and challenging message, powerful worship experience, and a whole lot of community.

The traditional music program at FUMC Clermont is a thriving ministry comprised of dedicated volunteers whose gifts are offered in a multitude of ways.  The Chancel Choir currently has over 70 members.  All singers are encouraged to join us on Wednesday evenings from 6:45 PM until 8:15 PM for the group’s rehearsal.  We meet in the Music Suite located in the Hancock Building.  This group sings at both the 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM worship services each Sunday.

The Joy Ringers is a group of 14 handbell ringers.  We use a 5 octave set of Malmark handbells and chimes.  This group rings in worship approximately once every month from September through June.  We rehearse from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM on Wednesdays.  Additionally, we participate in at least one handbell festival per year.

There are other small group opportunities available.  If interested in joining any of our groups, please contact Susan Brandt, Director of Traditional Music at s.brandt @fumc-clermont.org.

Our Praise and Worship team provides music for our 9:30 Contemporary worship service each week. The team is made up of volunteers who have a variety of musical talents. Vocalists, guitarists, percussionists, and keyboardists all play a vital part in this important ministry. Please contact Bo Duke at b.duke@fumc-clermont.org if interested in joining our team of talented musicians!

The Praise and Worship team rehearses each week and leads the worship for the Sunday morning Contemporary worship service. New members are always needed as our church grows and as we continue to add new worship venues.

John Wesley's Covenant Renewal service

In 1775, John Wesley introduced a covenant service as an important part of spiritual life in the Methodist Societies. This renewal service was a time for the Methodists to gather annually in a time of self-examination, reflection, and dedication, wholly giving up themselves and renewing covenant with God. Repentance through confession and commitment was a key focus of the service, demanding humility from those willing to submit themselves to the dynamic words stated within the liturgy. Each Sunday, you can check your child into our Kids Ministry. We want your kids to have an awesome time at church too, so we have some dedicated (and gifted) individuals who give their Sundays to pour into your kids!

Here's what a typical Sunday looks like:

Either a name tag will be filled out by parents or they will be asked to check-in on the computer and print out a name tag. A claim tag will then be given or printed for parents to present at check-out. Both formats will include your child’s name as well as information regarding specific allergies. From there you will walk them to their age-specific classroom. When you return at the end of service you will check-out your child by giving a the claim tag to the adult volunteer at the door when leaving.

We are always in need of great people to serve on Sundays.  We understand that serving can be a big sacrifice to you and your family but we encourage every person that calls FUMC their home to serve at least one Sunday a month.

We always need great people for the Children's Ministry, but there are also big needs in our Worship and Hospitality ministries as well as our Student Ministry on Sunday nights. If you are interested in serving on a Sunday morning or evening please let us know!
